Has anyone else here noticed that their paint is very easily damaged? I'm attaching a photo of part of my hood to show a sample of how many rock chips the paint already has after only 2 months of ownership. That's about 10 very noticeable chips on just that area alone. There are many more all over the hood. I'm starting to think the front of my car will be bare primer within a few years.

The roads here are chip seal, so there is a lot of loose gravel on the roads so I expect some level of damage, but in comparison my last car (Subaru Outback, dark grey paint) was over 7 years old and didn't have anywhere near this many chips in the paint.

Has anyone else seen this kind of problem?

No, you would need to get the individual paint chips fixed separately before the clear coat correction. I would take it to a detailing or body shop that offers that service for an estimate. Alternatively you could work on the chips yourself using a Mazda touch up paint pen for your specific color. There are plenty of YouTube videos to reference with best methods.

Mine is Artisan Red.
What did you need to do in order to get your 6 re-painted?
Raised hell to Mazda...blew up their customer care line. The first dealership I went to 30 days after purchase tried to claim that there was some sort of "film" on the roof and hood...complete nonsense. It was a process that took ~4 months, but eventually they ponied up and paid to respray "the affected panels" which by then was the entire car except for the trunk and rear bumper. I had ~400 paint blemishes by the time the respray happened.

My CX90 is also artisan red...this :poop: better bleeping not happen again.
