I've just past 9000 miles on my CX90 SPP. The steering over the last week has developed a jerky motion. When driving and maintain my lane, using small corrections to stay in my lane the steering wheel is not smooth, a jerk happens and forces me over two far, so I need to re-adjust centering and a jerk happens the other direction. After a couple of adjustments the car is good until I need to correct steering to stay in lane. I took my car to the dealer and the dealer said that the Steering Gear needs replacing. This is not related to the latest recall for steering worm gear 652A. I wonder if this problem was created when using off road mode in heavy snow for a few days. Not sure, but now the snow is gone and there is no need for off road mode, but shortly after using this mode the problem started. Mazda dealer has parts on order. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
