Only thing I have done thus far is de-badge the rear.
!! Warning to those who like to do the same!!
Each side has two alignment holes/studs for the badges. The part the badges are on is actually a painted trim (plastic) cover, not the liftgate itself. I have a Jet Black Mica TS so unless you are within a few feet, you cant tell they are there, but it will be more noticeable on other colors. I am debating on painting the badges and re-installing them though long term. Other option would be to have a friend of mine who does composite / carbon fiber work to replicate the trim piece, the would open up the opportunity to swap the rear mazda emblem badge as well, for those who like the modded evil 'M' badge look.
Also I have been prepping to pull the chrome trim in the front and rear bumpers to get paint matched. The lower pieces in the front / rear bumpers are pretty straight forward to remove, the parts in the front grille are less so. One may be able to get them off without removing the entire grille, but I wont know till I take off some of the covers on top to expose the backside of the grille.
I cant tell from diagrams available online if the side skirt chrome accent strips are removable, but I am hoping at the very least to be able to vinyl wrap them along with the chrome door jam accents. Roof rails appears to be secured with studs / nuts, and I am not tearing into the headliner for that, but would like to get the rails painted as well potentially. I have never been one that enjoyed the murdered out look, but I think the CX-90 would be much better looking if it was more paint matched / solid black trim.
