Looking good with everything. Wish the cx90 chassis had the full exhaust exposed out the back.
Yeah, like some titanium tips- just cut some holes  o_O

Thanks for the pictures- very nicely done, stealthy. Does it sound louder? Maybe a little at idle, but more under WOT?

Hey, so did you weigh the stock exhaust you removed and the weigh the parts installed before it went in to see if there was any weight difference? Sometimes the stock exhaust is built like a tank and super heavy so any aftermarket exhaust is going to be lighter. Using titanium for exhaust parts are always very light but the sound can be different from Stainless steel. Borla exhausts are high quality so they should hold up over the years vs OEM.

Thank you and yours too my friend. It could be done. Saw the opening where that faux mesh is in the rear corners, sand nicely, and put a nice big oval style tip in hyper black….stop it I don’t want to cut a hole in my new car yet lol.

Love titanium tips lol! Great minds. Well I’m sure it will sound off a bit at idle and stronger at WOT. If I just get a little growl I’ll be good. I’m sure because of the amount of steel and the sound deadening of the stock this Borla piece will be lighter. I’ll have them weigh both when I take it in Nov 10 for the install day. Said maybe will take an hour or so. My exhaust guy did my long tubes/X pipe/Corsa extreme on my ZO6 and my muffler delete and X pipe on my W204. They are good!

Ok JB4 and drop in filter in. Total time about 2hrs to install with lots of interruptions lol. I have some tips if anyone needs them now that I did this myself. Really the only connected that’s hard is the one all the way in the back but other than that lots of options to make it clean and undetectable as I did.

Feels a lot stronger and it makes normal mode feel really strong. Idle is buttery smooth. AF at wide open throttle in map 1 (3lbs of boost added) never dip below 12.1 so it’s very safe. My IaT’s after about an hour drive on the highway to test in multiple scenarios never went above 86 degrees here where outside it was about 87degrees out which is great for turbo boost.

The Borla should make it sound how she feels now. Very happy. Best part is it might take me 10min to remove her if I need warranty service.

All in all of you need 8 seats and can’t wait for mazda to allow this in the unpowered turbo S and up…here is your way to get 18-19lbs of boost to make up for the power loss with the base I6 T MHEV platform with a smoothing of the low rpm trans snags thus far. 🤙

Nice do you just remove it before going to the dealer and zero chance of any warranty voids? And how much hp do you get from each map and should i be running premium all times if i get it?

That’s the best part it comes out in 15min 4 connections and dealer is non the wiser but I have only 400miles on her before this install. I also did a drop in dry performance air filter. Borla muffler is going on Nov 10. It’s a module box with connectors no just a flash tune. So maps can be updated, you can data log on your smart device and get full gauges AF, IAT etc…

here is the dyno from Terry at Berger

Wow 392hp to the wheels is insane thats probably like 450 to the crank. Inline 6 have some crazy potential. Keep me updated with the exhaust ive been wanting to see one with a exhaust

exactly and it’s the smooth I6 but mainly boost of a turbo that does this. Also the torque number in this monster is the real number that makes your heart beat! I will post after she gets installed. It’s just too quiet stock. Like I need 15% more growl!

Super job! Thanks for the pictures.

I don't know, you might like this CX-90 "too much" and not drive your "other" cars. Ha! o_O (y)

It's always nice to have choice though. I really like that tinted protected front Mazda emblem. ;)

Thanks and my pleasure to share and help others. I really love driving this one for sure. Such a fun daddy mobile. Yeah saw the thread with the cracked emblem and when I heard the replacement cost was like 😳 so naturally PPF was the prudent responsible thing to do and the tint just adds to my storm trooper inspired theme. Even if I had a metallic blue and one of the red versions and keep the chrome, I would definitely at least do a clear PPF at a minimum on that emblem.

Updated Dry Erase Board Project List
-Roof PPF gloss black (Nov 11)
-Borla T rear exhaust in stall (Nov 10)
-Carbon CX-90 door jam skid protectors (Nov 20)

decided to return the CX-9 front aero lip kit as it required a lot of drill holes I just didn’t want to do.

Board never ends on this project for some reason?

little added esthetic. Not much in terms of rock guards in terms of size but they do look nice. Took about 15min to install with a few 8mm drill holes required.
