Have finally made up my mind to purchase the CX90. Still contemplating whether it will be the Turbo or Turbo S. I've only owned Japanese cars since college, with the only exception being a Kia Optima. I currently have a Toyota Camry and will continue to keep it to pass it on to my kids.
When I began my search last year, I shortlisted the CX90, along with the Honda Pilot, Acura MDX, Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade, and Toyota Highlander. I crossed off the Kia, Hyundai, and Toyota due to daylight robbery markups, antiquated engines (Kia/Hyundai only), and small size (Highlander).
I narrowed my list down to Pilot, CX90, and MDX. I crossed off the MDX as it is basically a Honda Pilot with a different front suspension and costing $10k more. Test drove the new Pilot in Jan and was impressed with it.
Now that I've also driven the CX90, I think I've made up my mind. For my needs and my family's preferences, the CX90 comes to the top of the list. The CX90 is basically the thinking man's BMW X5 or the MDX that Acura refuses to build.

Nice. I am in GA. I am waiting for the "base" Turbo S version to show up in the dealer inventory before purchasing.Also in the southeast (TN) and have three subies. Mine is a 2018 WRX. This is my first Mazda.
I am going to get a kick every time someone thinks I have a Porsche because Mazda calling the trims Turbo and Turbo S, similar to Porsche Cayenne/911 Turbo and Turbo S.
