As we also communicated previously, starting with the CX-90 and CX-70 next year and looking toward 2025, Mazda will introduce a range of new electrified products which will be based on our SKYACTIV Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture.

By 2025, Mazda will launch a total of eight new hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid EV (PHEV), and battery electric vehicle (BEV) models in Canada, in addition to the MX-30 EV currently on sale in Quebec and British Columbia. These new models will include the CX-50 hybrid, CX-70 PHEV, CX-90 PHEV, four new hybrid models, and a new BEV SUV to be introduced in 2025. Additionally, sales of MX-30 BEV will expand nationally next year, and two core crossover models will also include mild hybrid (MHEV) powertrains for increased efficiency and improved emissions.

RICHMOND HILL, ON, Jan. 17, 2023 /CNW/ - On January 31, Mazda Canada Inc. will reveal the first-ever 2024 Mazda CX-90. The CX-90 will be offered with a highly anticipated all-new powerful and responsive 3.3L Inline Six e-Skyactiv Turbo engine.

The available 3.3-liter inline six turbo will have the highest horsepower and torque from a mass production gasoline engine developed by Mazda with 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque when using the recommended premium fuel. This engine provides CX-90 an engaging driving experience with a rewarding exhaust note, while also featuring a mild-hybrid system for efficiency without compromising on performance.

This inline six turbo is developed specifically for the large platform, Mazda's all-new rear-biased all-wheel drive layout that supports a performance-focused experience. Additionally, Kinematic Posture Control (KPC), first introduced on the MX-5 roadster, is standard on all CX-90 models and will help bring Mazda's signature driving dynamics to the three-row crossover SUV.

The 2023-2024 Mazda CX-90 is slated to start production in early 2023. The first available CX-90 units will be landing in Burnsville in April of 2023.
Mazda’s current 3-row SUV, the 2023 Mazda CX-9, is back for a limited time in 2023. Production on the CX-9 is not forecasted to go past the 2023 model year, as the Mazda CX-90 will take its place.
