Just picked up our PHEV on Friday and today, all these warnings came on while parked: In-vehicle communication network malfunction, hybrid system malfunction, i-activesense system malfunction, engine malfunction, dynamic stability control malfunction, air bag system and seat belt pre-tensioner system malfunction. Car still drives and kept it in normal mode, but going to take it back to the dealer tomorrow.

Anyone who's brought this to the dealer have a definitive answer on what they fixed?
Just an update on our issue, as mentioned they were going to order an ESU for the dash to replace it. However after talking with Mazda Canada and having a Mazda tech in, they said it won't solve the issue and that it's a software fault. A hard reset would fix the issue for now and a software update in the future hopefully fixes this bug.

Dealer did a hard reset and drove it for 100km with the issue NOT showing up again. We now have the car back and so far so good.

I bought this car a couple months back and have had so many issues. How is a car this expensive so terrible? I had the I-Mazda stopped working issue while pulling onto the highway and couldn’t excelerate, the electronic system is constantly malfunctioning, I can’t even get the small features to work like the wireless phone charging or the double tap door lock/unlock, Apple Car Play only seems to connect less than 50% of the time. The trunk has started spontaneously opening on its own, while the rest of the vehicle shows as locked and I didn’t accidentally hit the trunk button because I got a notification from the Mazda app saying it was open, meaning not by instruction. One day it was 100 degrees and I had the A/C turned on and it would only blow heat for 30 minutes until I reached my destination. Received the safety recall notice and don’t even want to be bothered with taking it in. Put in a claim with Mazda that I want a full refund. This is absolutely ridiculous. If anyone has any tips on how to get Mazda to take back this disaster of a vehicle or wants to put together a class action lawsuit, please let me know!

So now there are three different users reported having this issue... I am scared. I leased the car for my wife and for long family road trip. I hope Mazda can identify the root cause and provide a solution sooner. Otherwise, I can't imagine what is going to happen if this is issue occurs in the middle of high speed freeway...
1700 miles on my CX-90 PHEV and just had it studded then completely shut down, dead accelerated pedal. Turned it off and back on and it seemed to drive fine. The check engine lights on and I get hybrid malfunction error on the screen every time I start it. Dealer already had it once for the last hybrid malfunction, but it didn’t die on me that time.

How do you put this claim in? I have had all the issues you have had plus had it die in the middle of the road with my kids in the car.

I just had an attorney write them a letter stating the car violates the lemon law and demanding a full refund. I sent it about a week ago and haven’t gotten a response. I’ll let you know how it goes!

I leased a CX-90 PHEV and after barely a week and less than 200 miles and had the same error as the original poster that said hybrid system, electrical leakage detected. Live in NY tri-state area. Had to get it towed by Mazda. Car was in driveway thankfully. Would not start or allow me to move it out of park. All other electrical components worked, could raise and lower windows, etc.

Mazda dealer hasn't given us a loaner, and offer to consider $40 rental reimbursement per day, which doesn't cover rental cost. Very disappointing.

You can ask them to get the rental car or a loaner for you, why $40 ONLY. You can't compare today's renting cost from what it was 5 yrs back.

I only had about 300 miles on my new PHEV and got the same issue. My Mazda dealer said they can’t even look at the car because the corporate office has to send someone to look at it. It will be in the shop for a week until someone can even check it out. I bought the car not ten days ago and it already has this issue. Clearly this car was not ready for the public.

I'm back! After picking up the car from the last issue and 1000kms later, Hybrid System Malfunction showed up while backing up and the car just shut down. It's back at the service department!
What did they replace the last time your car was in the shop? Could you let us know what it is this time?

Update on my car...dealer finally gave loaner but only under pressure from Mazda customer care. Mazda technician arrived yesterday so CX-90 has been gone a week, not sure how much longer. They did say they are replacing a water heater part that others have mentioned, and that another CX-90 was in their service queue and having the same part replaced.

Just so others know we are not alone as CX-90 owners with this type of problem-

Seems like Mazda has been dealing with this in other hybrid Mazdas. Similar reasons.
