I just had a hitch and wiring kit installed on my PHEV at Mazda and asked how I used towing mode and they told me there is no towing mode on the PHEV. Is this correct? I plan on hauling a trailer with surge brakes so no need for brake controller but I thought I would have to use towing mode??
