Didn't see towing covered in the press release, but Autoblog suggests 5000 lbs:

Besides improved efficiency, the CX-90 gets better towing capacity. And this time, Mazda did reveal by how much. The CX-90 can pull up to 5,000 pounds. That's a 1,500 pound improvement over the CX-9, and puts the CX-90 on parity with other three-row SUVs.

Since that number is not confirmed, it may yet match the CX-60.
It is possible, however, that the extra vehicle weight of the CX-90 may reduce the available towing compared to the CX-60.

Good thought but I will bet the PHEV CX 60 weights as much or more than the CX 90 straight six. The CX60 phev comes in at 2150 KG or 4730 lbs. The 2500 KG quoted towing is with the PHEV. Present CX9 weighs 4450.

EU specs are much more generous since they assume the towing vehicle will drive sanely at reduced speeds with a braked trailer. In the US the towing specs assume you're going 80mph with a standard trailer.

The Australian CX-9 (same car as here) is rated to tow 4,400 lbs, despite its 3,500 lbs US rating.
