Wheel Tire Car Vehicle Grille

Mazda hasn't released the all-electric range of the CX-90 PHEV yet but Car and Driver estimates it should be somewhere between 20-30 miles.

With both the inline-six and the PHEV, the electric motor is sandwiched between the engine and the transmission, but the plug-in hybrid has a more powerful electric motor and its battery pack should provide somewhere around 20–30 miles of electric range (Mazda isn't releasing detailed specs quite yet).

I'd love to know what energy recuperation is like, the CX-60 already does it well enough.
"Last summer, our colleague Antoine Joubert drove the Euro-only Mazda CX-60, which features the PHEV system, and managed to travel 56 kilometres on pure battery power. He then regained 18 kilometres of zero-emission range through energy recuperation over the next 70 kilometres or so while the vehicle was operating in hybrid mode."

The still from one of the review videos shows a fully charged battery and 20 mile range.

Not sure how the range estimation was computed, maybe the previous drives were all Sport Mode hooning? 20 miles seems about half of the claimed CX-60 range, and CX-90 can't be THAT much heavier, right?

That tracks I guess. 37 km ~= 22 miles. That's ... not a lot, especially since the recommendation (going by the CX-60) is not to charge over 80% capacity.
Its not enough in Canada to qualify for the $5000 rebate. Going to be a tough sale for some when you have the brand new Santa Fe with 60km range at the same price minus $5000

I think this will be pretty in line with other 3-rows. The Santa Fe competitor will be the CX-60/70. The CX-60 PHEV has a range of 62 km.
Exactly. The current Santa fe is much smaller and it’s a two row 5 seater only.

To put it in context, it’s more similar to my 2015 Santa Fe XL, the longer (and maybe wider) three row seven seater. Except I don’t have any electrical range with it… 😁
